Step 1 - Open an image |
If one isn't already open, open an image. |

Step 2 - Choose the Text tool |
Choose the Text tool. |
Select this tool for me. |

Step 3 - Set the Tool Options |
Set the following Tool Options: a) set Create As to Vector; b) set Font to Arial; c) set Size to 20; d) set Stroke Width to 1.0; e) mark the Anti-alias checkbox; f) set Alignment to Left; g) set Font Style to Bold and Italic. |

Step 4 - Choose stroke and fill color |
In the Materials palette, set the Foreground/Stroke to Yellow, and the Background/Fill to Black. |

Step 5 - Save this Preset |
Click the Presets button in the Tool Options palette, click the Save button, and in the Save Presets dialog, type "20ptArialBIYellowBlack". Click OK to save this Preset. You'll now see it in the Presets list. |

Notes and Tips: |

If you find yourself repeatedly using specific tool settings, save them as a Preset. You might be amazed at the setup time you'll save. |

To delete a Preset, simply select it from the Presets drop-down list and then click the Delete button. |
 |
To reset a tool's Presets to the defaults, click the Reset to Default button. |
